The Reunion

So, we have been back from Florida for a few weeks, and I now feel sufficiently recuperated to actually write about the trip!

We spent four days at the beach in Destin. Doug’s parents were generous enough to organize and finance this grand adventure. This thing was so big it even had its own blog! We were very fortunate to miss the bad weather that was on either side of our trip. There were many late nights, trips for donuts and the occasional swim. The boys had a great time playing with their cousins, and we had a great time catching up with all of the adults that we hadn’t seen in quite a while.

The highlight for me had to be the talent show. I wish I had taken video, because it was great. There was also Karaoke, a wonderful treasure hunt that I will shamelessly copy when my side of the family has their reunion, pictures on the beach, birthday celebrations, etc…

I also enjoyed the attempts to quiet down a group of 50 that included over 20 children!

    it was fun seeing y’all at the beach! btw, warren videotaped the talent show…not sure, if he got mike & doug’s lovely duet.
